March For America Makes Demands on Fremont Street
120 protesters gathered on Fremont St. saturday at noon to recite the Pledge of Allegiance before marching through downtown on route to the Federal Courthouse.
Las Vegas was one of nine cities holding marches, including Atlanta, Chicago, Clearwater, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Sacramento, and Yakima, Washington.
Citizens group targets Harry Reid at Federal Courthouse
Marchers from Las Vegas, Pahrump, Reno, Southern Utah and Los Angeles dressed in red, white and blue carried American flags and protest signs as the announced they were demanding Anti-Security and Prosperity Partnership legislation.
Nevada has not yet introduced direct anti-SPP legislation. 16 states have pending Anti-North American Union legislation and 3 states have passed Anti-NAU or Anti-SPP legislation in both their House and Senate similar to what March For America is proposing.
The protest was led by the MFA organizer, LisaMarie Johnson and Vietnam Veteran, George Hayes. Two boyscouts from Southern Utah carried the organizations banner, as the protesters chanted USA! USA! USA! and Save our Constitution!
Anti-NAU speeches took place on the grounds in front of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office at the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse while drivers by honk their horns in approval.
