American Citizens - Doing the Job, Our Government Won't Do!
Beginning Friday April 4, 2008, American citizens from across the country will muster onto Patriot Point, for something that has never been done on this stretch of the border: We are going to "Light Up The Line".
The intent is to get as many people as possible to use spotlights powered by generators, flashlights and headlights -- whatever you've got to light the border at night, all night for as long as possible. Most coyotes and other border crossers will not attempt to cross where there is light.
We have the power to not only stop drugs and illegal invaders from crossing, but also to draw nationwide attention and media spotlight to the Campo and Tecate sectors -- two of the worst areas for drug smuggling and illegal alien crossings.
WHAT TO BRING
- Gas powered generator (if possible) and gasoline
- Legal Firearms
- FRS/GMRS Radios and batteries
- Binoculars, spotting scopes for daylight hours
- Night vision scope (If you have one)
- Spotlight, flashlights (anything to light the border)
- Sleeping arrangements (tent, RV, back of SUV, etc.)
- Clothes for both night and day as the temp changes quite a bit
- Portable BBQ grills, lawn chairs
- Batteries AA (bring plenty)
- Water and food (there will be Bar-B-Q's during slow times)
