F.A.I.R.
Lobbying Workshop
INVITATION ONLY - CONTACT:
lisamarie@vegasamerican.com
As some of you know, I contacted F.A.I.R. after seeing their press conference regarding a coalition they formed with state legislators. Their goal is to have each state deal with illegal immigration since the federal government has not been doing their job
Check out the coalition website: www.statelegislatorsforlegalimmigration.com
Please write your legislators and ask them to join this coalition.
Since writing to them, I've been talking with F.A.I.R. representatives who agree Nevada needs a strategy. They've put together this Lobbying Workshop to help us get started.
You'll learn how to:
- effectively advocate at the local and state levels;
- identify elected officials in Nevada who support immigration reform; and
- develop effective arguments for communicating with elected officials
who do not support immigration reform.
Janine Hansen, President of the Nevada Eagle Forum is teaching the workshop, and will likely be our person on the front lines in Carson City on our behalf when needed.
Coalition member, Rep. Daryl Metcalfe marked by U.N. as Racist
HARRISBURG—Pennsylvania State Representative and State Legislators for Legal Immigration (SLLI) founder Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler County) announced today that both he and his Invasion PA: National Security Begins at Home Keystone State Report have been referenced in the latest United Nations “Committee on the Elimination of Racism” report entitled Right of Immigrants and Migrants to the United States: A Critical Look at the United States and its Compliance Under the (UN) Convention.
